The Brooktrout fax ports in ExtraFax keep restarting after using FDTool

Sometimes after using the Dialogic Brooktrout Fax Diagnostic Tool (FDTool.exe), ExtraFax may no longer capable to start the Brooktrout fax ports.

In such case, please try performing the following steps:
1. Shutdown ExtraFax.
2. Launch Brooktrout Configuration Tool (Start button -> Programs -> Brooktrout Configuration Tool) and then press the "Apply" button.
3. Start ExtraFax and verify whether the Brooktrout fax ports can be started up properly or not.


By the way, please make sure the version of the installed Brooktrout driver matches with your ExtraFax version.
